My favorite inspirational books I’ve read in 2019

Inspirational Books

If there is anything I love it’s being able to curl up in comfy clothes with some nice inspirational books.

While I am open to reading any kind of book, my favorite types of books are non-fiction or self-help books.

I have always been so interested in hearing creative women’s success stories, and taking their advice and incorporating it into my own life. Some of the biggest sayings or mantras I live by come from some of the incredible women authors who have written the books that I’ve read.

I wanted to share some of my favorite books that I have read, and I hope you take into consideration reading them too, I truly think you will enjoy them!

Tales From The Back Row by Amy Odell

If you’re looking to be a part of the fashion industry, or if you ever even wondered what goes on in the industry “Tales From The Back Row: An Outsider’s View From Inside The Fashion Industry” by Amy Odell is a great read. Amy Odell, former Editor of Cosmopolitan.com, puts into words the hardcore industry of fashion, while putting her own humor into it. Amy tells about what it was like to start from the bottom (or in this case the back row) of the fashion industry and work her way to the top. This story is no doubt inspiring for any girl boss, whether you’re looking to work in the fashion industry or elsewhere. Everyone loves a nice inspirational anecdote. Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis

One of her number of amazing books (which I am making it my mission to read them all), Rachel Hollis’ Girl, Stop Apologizing: A Shame-Free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals¬†is a must-read. Just the title alone drew me to this book, because I am so guilty of putting others’ approval above my own needs. Sometimes we all just have to realize that we don’t have to apologize for things that don’t need apologizing for. Are you choosing to start a business over working a 9-5? Don’t apologize for that. Are you choosing to work a 9-5 rather than start your own business? Don’t apologize for that either. These things affect no one but yourself. Rachel speaks in this book about six essential behaviors that helped her to discover what it was she was passionate about and how she used those behaviors to wildly succeed. #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso

I’m sure it is no surprise that this book is on the list. One of my favorite books of all time, and my favorite businesswoman to draw inspiration from, Sophia Amoruso is the epitome of a Girlboss. #Girlboss, the book, tells the story of Sophia’s claim to fame — which all started with an eBay shop that she started from scratch. The Nasty Gal founder has a story that no doubt inspires, and now she dedicates herself to helping other women achieve success. This read is a must! Purchase #Girlboss HERE.
