November is a month of giving thanks and spending time with the ones you love. Sure, a lot of us tend to think ahead to December and the chaos of the holiday season, but it is important to take the time to live in the here and now, and be grateful for all that you have.

This month’s Date Night In theme is a perfect match for the month of November, and will surely help you and your loved one to unwind and be present in the here and now — even if it only is for one night.

Often times it is easy for us to take for granted all that we are fortunate enough to have, and it is so important for us to give thanks for it all.

My fiancĂ© and I have really come to enjoy our Date Night In Boxes each month, and it has helped us to open up to each other more, learn more about each other (because lets be honest, you never stop learning things about your significant other, no matter how long you’ve been together), and even become closer.

This month’s “Give Thanks” box offers so much to do, starting with the delicious monthly recipes. This month’s recipes consist of some great foods perfect for the fall weather, such as a Turkey, Brie and Cranberry Pesto Phyllo Wrap, Parmesan and Thyme Mashed Potatoes, a Cranberry Spritzer to drink, and let us not forget, Salted Caramel Cheesecake Muffins for dessert. This month’s recipes were courtesy of Marina Makes!

The time spent eating your delicious meal is also the perfect time for table talk, which gives you and your partner the opportunity to talk on a deeper level than the conversations you may have on any ordinary day. Don’t know what to talk about? Date Night In offers some great table talk prompts! As the theme states, this month is all about giving thanks, so let your partner know how thankful you are for them.

But wait — be sure to save room for some extra dessert because this month’s big activity is a sweet one! This month’s activity is making ice cream for Caramel Apple Cider Floats, how great is that?! The box has instructions to help you step by step create this sweet treat.

While you and your loved one are enjoying your delicious creation, there is a really great activity to enjoy, perhaps my favorite one yet. You can use this time to jot down what you are thankful for about your partner on the sticky notes provided in the box, and hide them throughout your house or in places that your partner will find over time. Seeing as how crazy the fall and winter months can be, this is the perfect activity to help put a smile on your partners face at the most unexpected time! I truly have so much to be thankful for when it comes to my fiancĂ©, so I’m really excited for him to find all the notes that I have hidden!

Your Date Night doesn’t have to stop there, the box also includes a dry erase Give Thanks board that you can put in a spot you see everyday, and each day you can write something you are thankful for. The box also includes a deck of cards for Gratitude Slam, and on a more somber note — a “Love from The Very Hungry Caterpillar” book which was donated by the parents of Tripp Halstead. The book is donated in hopes that you will spread the love and kindness by donating the book to a child in need, wherever you may find one.

The holiday season is a season of giving, thanks and love, and with that being said I truly think this month’s date night box hits on all those points, and I have no doubt that you and your loved one will enjoy the box just as much as we did!
