Early 2000s: Are they making a return?

I was born in 1994, so you can consider me a 90s child. However, the early 2000s is when I was THRIVING.

The early 2000s is when my best friend and I discovered makeup, High School Musical, Lizzie McGuire, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears and so much more.

It’s crazy to think how much changes over time, but it’s crazier to thank about how much things end up coming full circle.

The other day I saw a photo online that said the show Friends came out however many years ago — 25 maybe? And it got me thinking… So many people still idolize these Friends characters and dress like them. Stores are coming out with 90s and 2000s-esque clothing again (have you seen? Neon and bucket hats are BACK!) and shows and movies that we all grew up watching and loving are getting revivals.

With all the nostalgic returns surrounding me, I decided to try and put together my own 2000s makeup look, inspired by Pinterest photos of celebrities back in the day.

The result ended up looking almost the same way as I looked back in the early 2000s — except this time I’m 25 years old, not 9.

However, I am no makeup professional, I did it all in good fun! (As you will hear me say a million times)

All of the makeup that I used in the video is all from the drug store, because that is what myself and I’m sure many, many others were using back in the day.

Check out my YouTube video above to see the epic fail that is my early 2000s makeup look!
