Spring is just around the corner, which means to winter coats will be going away and the sun dresses and cropped leggings will be coming out!
One thing that I’ve always had trouble doing is transitioning my wardrobe from winter to spring, especially on those days where it is 40 degrees when you wake up but 65 and sunny by noon.
This year, luckily, I have found some great transitional pieces from this adorable shop called Dress Up! Dress Up has 20 locations throughout the southeast, but don’t worry if that’s not where you’re located, they also have a website with TONS of options and they ship quickly too!
My favorite thing about their shop is that it is so affordable! All of their clothing is super cute, and while I was shopping I don’t believe I saw anything over $50! They have all kinds of clothing and accessories for all seasons and occasions and they’re all in style and adorable.
Here are some of the pieces I purchased from Dress Up that I think make great transition pieces into spring.
The first piece is SO super soft! I get cold very easily, so this piece is perfect to me. A lot of my cardigans and sweaters are oversized and long, so I figured it was time to try and change it up and got one that was shorter and kind of cropped. Because of its length I think it is a great transition piece. You can wear it buttoned up and off the shoulder, or you can wear it unbuttoned to give it more of a cardigan feel and look. It can be styled with a cute pair of jeans or even a pair of shorts depending on the weather! You can check out this Tess Striped Fleece Top HERE.
To stay on the stripes trend, this button up striped blouse is perfect for almost all occasions and can be styled in so many ways. You can’t see it in the photo, but it has little spots of metallic in the stripes as well. It is a bit oversized, which makes it perfect for knotting it in the front, which is very on trend right now. This is a top that you can wear by itself if its warm, or just throw a cardigan over it if it gets chilly. You can shop the Maren Button Up Blouse HERE.
This piece is for weather that is a bit warmer, but depending on where you live, you can totally make it work as a transition piece! These olive paperbag shorts are so comfy and look super cute on! I normally have problems when it comes to shorts like this because they always look super baggy and disproportionate on me. However, this pair has such a great fit to them. They can be styled with a cute cropped sweater, which I tried on before this and it looked cute! Or, for warmer weather, you can go with a simple tee like I did here. They come in a couple different colors, and are lightweight enough that you can wear them through the spring and all summer long. You can shop the Everleigh Paperbag Waist Shorts HERE.
Looking at it now, I’m noticing that I really have a problem with purchasing things with stripes! But in any case, this babydoll dress is perfection! Dresses are another thing that I tend to have trouble with, I’m not that tall, but I have long legs. So finding dresses that don’t look too short is an issue. This dress, however, is the perfect length. It can be worn for many occasions, and comes in white with the blue stripes as I’m wearing, or blue with white stripes, which is super cute too. You can wear it on its own, dress it up with a cardigan for breezy weather, or even add a thin brown belt to the waist to give it a little extra detail. You can shop the Vivian Striped Babydoll Dress HERE.
Lastly, this may be one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe right now. This pinstripe blazer is perfect for the transitioning seasons, and can work for outfits for many occasions. I’ve wanted a new blazer for quite some time, and I’m so glad I decided to purchase this one! The picture really doesn’t do it justice. It is lightweight enough to work through the spring and summer, and can be styled with jeans or shorts for a more casual look, or even dress pants for more of a business look. You can shop the Carson Pinstripe Blazer HERE.
I’m so pleased with all of my purchases from Dress Up, and can’t wait to put them to good use as we transition into spring!
